Karen Arthur

One of the best things about writing this blog is that I have the opportunity to meet incredible people with a lot to say.
People with different points of view, life, history and taste but with something in common…they love what they do.
I will start today a series of interviews with some amazing people.

Today is Karen Arthur. Reddskin owner and designer.

I met her in London Fashion Week Festival here in London. You may recognise her because she was the one wearing the coffee sack as an amazing skirt! Here is the link if you haven’t read that post yet.

We decided to meet in Karen’s zone. Forest Hill.

She took me to this beautiful cafe down the road where her daughter works. Like mother like daughter, both super friendly and with this amazing vibe. Hard to explain if you were not there.

We sat with our hot drinks and we started chatting like two old friends. What an amazing feeling when you meet someone and you don’t feel awkward or nervous at all.

Karen is what I call a “Super hero”.  She believes in Love and nothing else, and even if she didn’t say it, I knew it.

She loves her life.
She loves her daughters.
She loves being unique.

My feeling talking to her and go through her life and her obstacles was “I’m so lucky to have this woman here”.
Some of the most important words mentioned in our meeting was Freedom, Mother, Do what we want, Happiness, Real, Fight.

Karen have this amazing brand called REDDSKIN where she does bespoke fashion. Creating unique pieces for unique people.
Her motto is FREEDOM, CREATIVITY, HONESTY.
And after talking 2 hours to her I can say that she covers every letter of those words.

REDDSKIN offer 3 types of services “MINI” “MIDI” “MAXI”

Karen created this beautiful brand after she decides to start over, one more time, and left behind her duties as a teacher to reach her dream.
Her dreams of helping women, enjoying  life and showing her daughters the amazing example of “never give up”, fighting  every day for love and becoming one of the most inspiring people that I met in my short life in this city.

See you next sunday!!
